As we begin the New Year, exciting changes and improvements are taking place which will make the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County (CSSC) and its newly-affiliated parent, the Capital Region Chamber (CRC) the strongest advocate and business support organization this community has ever seen. We hope you will get to know us, and if your business has never participated before, please come check us out and see why there is so much enthusiasm about this important business development.

Former CSSC president Pete Bardunias, now the CRC’s Senior Vice President, Community Advancement, and Project Manager Sheila Whinnery are remaining right in the downtown Clifton Park office (58 Clifton Country Road, Suite 102). Joining them in the local office will be the Member Services team from the Capital Region Chamber which oversees marketing, communications, special events, and sponsorships. This is a talented team, with extensive experience serving the needs of businesses large and small throughout the region.

Marna Redding, Vice President, Member Services is responsible for oversight of the Member Services team and serves as the Chamber liaison for the Women’s Business Council and the Nonprofit Business Advisory Group. She is also responsible for all sponsorships throughout the Chamber so if you are looking to get involved, please reach out to her.

Debbie Erck, Director, Signature Events, works to develop, plan and implement all of the Chamber’s events.  Some great events are planned in southern Saratoga County this year starting with our first mixer as a combined chamber at 5:00PM on January 23 at Wheatfields in Clifton Park. Interested in hosting a Business After Hours or Network by 9?  Please let us know by contacting our offices.

Taryn Farewell, Marketing Manager, handles marketing, communications and social media management at the Chamber. Interested in promoting your business to the Chamber’s 2,900 members? There are some great options available. Contact Taryn for more information.

The Capital Region Chamber is bringing together our neighboring communities in an unprecedented way, and we remain very connected to the local communities in southern Saratoga County and beyond which have been served by the CSSC for 53 years and counting. We are looking forward to a fabulous year and hope that you will share in the journey with us.
