CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. —  New York State Police arrested Cohoes resident Dickie R. Winn, 58, last Saturday afternoon, May 25, after a two-car crash at the corner of Ushers Road and Route 9 in Clifton Park.

The crash killed the driver and one passenger in the second car and injured three other passengers in that car.

Winn was arrested and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, two counts of vehicular manslaughter, and driving while intoxicated, shortly after the crash.

Winn was arraigned on the charges Sunday morning where he pleaded not guilty. Though bail was sought by his attorney, Winn was sent to the Saratoga County Jail.

Winn was scheduled to make a second appearance in town court on Wednesday.

One day after the crash, New York State Police released the names of those killed and the three people who were injured. Killed were John Heneghan, 33 and his wife Caitlyn J. Holtzman, 32 of New York City.

Injured in the crash were Luke O’Doherty, 25, Enda Crowley, 25, and Julia Staples. The three were transported to Albany Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
