YMCA "Running Start" program seeks donations for local kids in need
CLIFTON PARK — The southern Saratoga YMCA last week helped nearly 70 Shenendehowa elementary school students start the school year off right with new clothes, new book bags, and a membership to its Clifton Park facility.
The 8-year-old “Running Start” program matches Shen students in need from kindergarten through sixth grade with volunteers for a night of clothes shopping.
The YMCA picks up the tab for the clothes and distributes the back packs after the shoppers return from the store.Read Story
